Good evening folks!! Hope you had a great day. Today I am here with a bread which is very famous across all over India. This is Puri.

Puris are breads which are eaten for breakfast or as a snack. Puri is made with a dough made from wheat. Small balls of this dough are taken and flattened in a similar way as of Chapati. But the Puri will be smaller than the chapati. Then the puris are deep fried in oil.

Puri could be soft or crispy. This can be eaten with any spicy curry like Bengal gram curry, aloo masala, or vegetable stew.

Puri is very common across all the states of the country and it is available in most of the tiffin centres and dhabas.

Cost per Plate of Puri (2 Puris + Some Curry): Rs.40 – Rs.70

Where to get:

  • Most of the Dhabas across the country
  • Tiffin centres all over the country
