  1. Open your browser and visit the pledge.mygov.in website.
  2. Click on the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ tab which will take you to the next webpage
  3. To move on, you will have to click on the ‘Take the Pledge’ button
  4. The webpage will then ask you for all your basic details, like name, email id, phone number, Date of Birth, city etc.
  5. After filling in all the details, followed by the language click on the ‘Read Pledge’ option.
  6. A few pledges will pop up on your screen to ensure that you as a citizen will abide by the rules while visiting new places and keep the sanctity of the place intact.
  7. You will have to read all the pledges and click on ‘I Pledge’.
  8. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number and you will have to enter the password to generate the certificate.
  9. Your certificate will be generated and you can take a download of it.

The process does not end at the registration. Over the course of the next year, you will have to take pictures of yourself in all the new places you visit. The validity and originality of the pictures is extremely necessary. Once you have a collection of these pictures, you will have to upload them on the ministry website and they will verify the legitimacy of the images. After you have taken the pledge and proven your journey to 15 new places, the government will refund all your travel expenses.
